Virusas šiemet paskatino mus pasilikti Danijoje ir patyrinėti šalies vietas, iki kurių per penkerius gyvenimo čia metus mums nepavyko nukakti. Danijos institucijos irgi suteikė įvairių nuolaidų žmonėms, pavyzdžiui keltai į salas kelia žmones bei dviračius nemokamai, įėjimai į muziejus atpiginti perpus ir pan. Mes nukovėme specialius aštuonių dienų transporto bilietus, tad susikrovėme kuprines, palapinę, miegmaišius ir leidomės į kelionę be plano.
Daniją iš esmės sudaro trys didelės dalys – Sjealland sala, kurioje mes gyvename, kurioje yra sostinė Kopenhaga ir kurią mes jau neblogai pažįstame, tuomet Fyn sala, kurioje esame irgi buvę ne kartą ir Jutland, žemyninė Danijos dalis, pietuose besijungianti su Vokietija. Šioje kelionėje Sjealland ir Fyn praleidome, pietų Jutland pasilikome kitiems kartams ir fokusavomės ties centriniu ir šiauriniu Jutland.

Virus made us stay in Denmark for summer holidays this year and explore the places, that we haven‘t had a chance to visit in five years. Also, there were a lot of discounts such as ferries to the islands are for free, entrance to a lot of musems are now twice cheaper etc. We got train tickets for 8 days, packed our backpacks, tent, sleeping bags and started a trip without the plan.
Denmark consists of three main parts – Sjealland, where we live and where Copenhagen is. Then there is Fyn island, that we have visited several times already. And then there is Jutland that is connected to Germany on the south. So, we skipped Sjealland and Fyn this time, also left southern Jutland for the next time and were focusing on central and northern Jutland this time.
Fredericia
LT:
Traukiniu be sustojimo lėkėme iki Fredericia miesto, kuris buvo mūsų pats pirmas aplankytas Jutlande. Netyrinėjome jo per daug, praleidome tik keletą valandų ir pasivaištinėjome po dailias kapinaites bei fortą, kur pasiilsėjome prie patrankų.

We took the train and started our trip from Birkerød to Fredericia without any stops, so it was our first stop in Jutland. We have spent only few ours in Fredericia, had a walk, visited cemetery and a fort, where we had a short break next to the cannons.
Jelling
LT:
Pirmąją nakvynę suplanavome Jelling miestelyje, pora kilometų nuo traukinių stoties. Nakvynės mūsų buvo suplanuotos tik tiek, kad jos bus netoli traukinio ir miške. Čia, Danijoje, yra nemažai vietų, kuriose pastatytos mažos pašiūrės nakvojimui, tad net nereikia palapinės. Jei užimta, gali laisvai statytis palapinę, naudotis laužaviete, paprastai visur būna vanduo ir bent minimalus tualetas. Tiesa, naktis buvo gana šalta, apie aštuonis laipsnius, tai visi gana sušalome, bet tai buvo vienintelė tokia naktis.
Ryte susikrovėme kuprines (kelionės gale mokėjom jas susikrauti LABAI greitai) ir ėjome į Vikingų muziejų Jellinge, kuris yra įtrauktas į UNESCO paveldo sąrašą. Įeiti į muziejų teko palūkėti dėl ribojamo lankytojų skaičiaus, bet pats muziejus buvo labai interaktyvus ir fainas!
Vistik svarbiausia dalis ten yra lauke kur stovi bažnyčia, du didžiuliai kalnai, kuriuose buvo laidojami vikingai ir du dideli akmenys, puošti runomis, kurios pirmą kartą mini Daniją ir Haroldą Mėlyndantį, kuris atvedė Daniją į krikščionybę. Trumpai tariant, tie akmenys – dabartinės Danijos pradžia.

We have planned to spend the first night in the small town called Jelling, few kilometers from the train station. When we were planning where to spend our nights we knew only two things – needs to be close to the train station and in the forest. There are a lot of places all over the country, where shelters are built for travellers to use. So you even don‘t need a tent. If a shelter is occupied, you can always built up a tent close by and you can use the fireplace, usually there is also water available and at least minimal WC. This night was a cold one, around 8 degrees, so we were freezing. But it was the only night like this.
In the morning, we have packed our backpacks (we were very fast in doing that by the end of the trip) and went to the Vikings museum oin Jelling. This place is included in the UNESCO list. We waited a bit in a line before entering, because of the limitations, but the museum was amazing – small, but very interactive and cool!
But still, the main part was outside – there is a church, 2 big hills, where vikings were burried in the past and 2 large stones withe the runes, where Denmark is mentione for the first time as well as Harald Bluetooth, who brought christianity to Denmark. , these stones are basically the beginning of Denmark.
Vorupør
LT:
Iš Jellingo traukiniais judėjome žemynu aukštyn – pro Struer, Thisted, iš kurio autobusu pasiekėme Vorupør miestelį, kuris yra vienas iš banglentininkų rojų prie Šiaurės jūros. Vėjas buvo nežmoniškas! Kraštovaizdis užtat nerealus. Tik atvykę daug nenuveikėme, buvo jau vakaras, apsistojome kempinge (nes nebuvo daug ten galimų pašiūrių ar vietų palapinėms) ir nuėjome miegoti, tikėdamiesi, kad naktį nenupūs palapinės su visais mumis!
Ryte (mūsų nenupūtė) leidomės į žygį pajūriu ir kopomis, aplankydami bunkerių liekanas, kurių ten labai daug ir tiesiog mėgaudamiesi kopomis. Vaikai puikai laikėsi (ir visas kitas dienas toliau, kai kartais reikėjo eiti ne vieną ir net ne penkis km per dieną su kuprinėmis ant pečių). Ėjome iki Stenbjerg miestelio, iš kurio grįžome autobusu. Tie maži miesteliai (iš šiaip visi Jullando laukai ir slėniai) man labai primena Lietuvą – tokie bažnytkaimiai, kuriuose labai tylu, bet tvarkinga.
Vakare vėjas nurimo ir pasivaikštinėjome miestelyje kažkiek, bet vistiek buvo šaltoka. Iš tikrųjų, per visą kelionę ilgų kelnių nepakeitėme į šortus ir nebuvo nei vienos vasariškos dienos. Visą laiką permainingas oras – saulė, debesys, lietus, saulė vėl..
Tame kempinge praleidome ir antrą naktį, o ryte aplankėme vietinį nedidelį, bet įdomų akvariumą ir leidomės į kelionę toliau. Grįžome autobusu vėl į Thisted, kuris per šias kelias dienas tapo mūsų tarpine stotele tarp visų objektų.

After Jelling, we continued our trip up to North – we have reached Struer, Thisted and took a bus to Vorupør, which is one of the surfers‘ paradises by the North Sea. Wind was enormous! But landscape was amazing. There were not a lot of shelters or places for the tents available, so we stayed at the official camping site for 2 nights.
Next morning we had a hike by the sea and small hills, where we found also some interesting bunkers that are hidden here from World War II. Kids were doing great (also all other days, when we walked a lot of kilometers per day with all those backpacks). We have reached a town called Stenbjerg and took a bus back to Vorupør from there. All these small towns remind me of villages in Lithuania – there is always a church, few nice houses and silence.
Wind was not so strong in the evening, so we had a walk in Volupør as well, but it was still quite cold. To be honest, we did not have a chance to change trousers into shorts the whole trip. Weather was changing all the time – sunny, cloudy, rainy, sunny again...
Next day we have visited small, but nice aquarium and conitnued our journey – got back to Thisted by bus, Thisted was always our connecting station between places there.
Hanstholm
LT:
Keliavome toliau iki Hansholm, kuris yra žinomas iš esmės tuo, kad jame yra bunkerių muziejus, vienas seniausių ir tais laikais buvusių stipriausiai šviečiančių švyturių. Ir dar ten yra didžiulis žvejybos uostas, tiekiantis žuvį didžiajai daliais Danijos.
Atvykę apsinakvojome pašiūrėje, ieškojome specialiai kur būtų jų nemažai vienoj vietoj, kad nereikėtų statyti palapinės, nes žinojom, kad visą naktį lis. Pavyko ir tikrai gerai išsimiegojom! O išsimiegoję leidomės į bunkerių muziejų, verta aplankyti!
Po muziejaus trasdiciškai – žygis, iki švyturio, per labai labai vėjuotą orą. Po žygio vėl sėdome į autobusą (traukinių keliai šioje šalies dalyje jau baigiasi).

Then we continued our trip to Hansholm, which is known for the bunker museum and has one of the oldest lighthouse, which was also the strongest one in old times. Also, there is a big fishing port, which produces fish for the big part of Denmark.
We knew, that it will rain the whole night, so found a place with several shelters. We had a good sleep! And then in the morning, we went to the bunker museum, which is really worth visiting!
After the museum – hike again to the lighthouse and it was very windy again. After tre hike, we took a bus again and got back to Thisted again. There are no trains in this part of the country.
Bulbjerg
LT:
Tą pačią dieną, vėl iš tos pačios Thisted stoties, pavalgę pietus prie bažnyčios, pajudėjome link Bulbjerg, kuriame nieko nėra, išskyrus fantastiškas uolas prie jūros. Nakvojome miške, palapinėj, be jokių pašalinių žmonių, labai smagiai.
Ryte leidomės į žygį, kuris gavosi didžiausias visoje kelionėje. Nuo nakvynės vietos apie 3km ėjome per kalveles iki uolų. Buvo verta, sėdėjome ten dvi valandas ir nebenorėjom niekur eiti.
Bet ėjom, šešis kilometrus keliu iki autobuso stotelės. Tas atvykstantis autobusas buvo visiems laimė didžiausia! Juo vėl grįžome į Thisted. Vaikai tuo metu jau buvo gerokai nusikalę, miegojo visur, kur įmanoma.

The same day, after having some lunch by the church in Thisted, we conitnued our trip to Bulbjerg, which is famouse for the big rock at the beach. We spent a nichg in a nice forest, in a tent, without any othe people.
In the morning we started our trip to the rock, it was 3 kilometers from the forest. It was worth it, we were siting there for few hours and didn‘t want to go anywhere.
But we continued at some point and went 6 more kilometers to the bus stop. That bus was the biggest joy for all of us! We got back to Thsited again. Kids were so tired, that they had haps everywhere where possible.
Vemb
LT:
Po Bulbjerg planų daugiau nebeturėjome, tad dvi kitas naktis leidom kur papuolė, keliaudami jau link pietų. Vieną naktį nakvojom prie upės Vemb miestelio praktiškai centre ir visą naktį lijo, barbeno į palapinės stogą. Taip pat – ryte. Lietui nurimus ėjome į stotį, nes pačiame miestelyje nelabai ko yra, ypač sekmadienį.

We did not have a lot of plans after Bulbjerg, so we spent 2 other nights anywhere on the way back to the central part of the Jutland. We spent one time in the empty Vemb town, by the river and it was raining the whole night and morning. After the rain, we went to to station and continued the trip.
Varde
LT:
Viena iš problemų, kurias turėjome kelionėje buvo Džiugo išrankumas nakvynių vietoms. Jam reikėdavo, kad: būtų laužavietė, būtų kur pakabinti hamaką, būtų miškas ir nebūtų žmonių. Paskutinę nakvynę liepėm surasti jam, taip viskas baigėsi Varde miestelyje, nakvyne pašiūrėje – miške, su laužaviete, su vieta hamakui ir be žmonių! Ir netgi su žaidimų aikštele.
Prie viso to dar aptikome fainą miniatiūrų parką, kuris pasirodo yra seniausias pasaulyje ir puikiai išpuoselėtas savanorių.

One of the problems we had on this trip was that Džíugas was reakky picky about the places where to sleep. He had some requirements – fireplacer, place for the hammock, it needs to be the forest and there should be no people, which is hardly possible in the summer. So we asked him to find a place where to sleep the next night. This is how we ended up in Verde, in a shelter – at the forest, with a fireplace, place for the hammock and now people! There even was a nice playground.
Next to that we found out, that there is a minicity, which is the oldest in the world and very nice.
Esbjerg
LT:
Ryte dar nukeliavome iki didesnio miesto Esbjerg, bet jame aplankėme tik jūrų muziejų, kuris labai patiko. Po viešnagės čia leidomės į Billund. Vizitas atostogų pabaigai buvo suplanuotas po tradicines Billundo gėrybes – deja, dėl viruso, ne viskas pavyko kaip planuota - aplankėme tik Legolendą ir naują wow parką.

In the morning, we took a train to Esbjerg, one of the bigger citiees, but here we just visited maritime musem and aquarium, that was pretty cool. And then we continued to Billund, where we had some usual activities planned before going home – unfortunately, because of the virus, not all our plan was fullfilled, so we visited only Legoland and new Wow park.

Vaikai užaugo akyse – praktiškai nezyzė, kad šalta, kad lyja, kad nuobodu, Emilė kitą savaitę varo į skautų stovyklą, kurioje turbūt valdys!
Leido pamatyti įvairią Daniją – kalvotą, lygią, šaltą, šiltesnę, nepergrūstą žmonių, su savo fantastiškais muziejais
Sunkios, nes:
Zyzimų nutikdavo, ypač kai alkani ir pavargę
Kai kurie iš mūsų pasiilgom lovos ir dušo
Nutikdavo lietus ir tada nebėra ką daryti, gerai, kad jis dažniausiai nutikdavo naktį

There are a lot of possibilites for backpackers – a lot of places to sleep, always available pulic transportation, always available internet etc.
Justas is very good in these trips – he can make a food from nothing in the middle of nowhere
Kids grew up a lot – even if it was cold and rainy sometimes, Emile is ready for her scouts trip next week
We saw a lot of different faces of Denmark – hills, plains, cold, warmer, quite empty and with its always amazing museums
Not easy, because:
We were not always in a good mood, especially when we were hungry and tired
Some of us missed own bed and shower
Of the rain, good, that in a lot of cases it happened during the night
